Constable Country
With a few more of Mr HB's lovely and very welcoming family we all enjoyed a filling and very good breakfast at the Skylark Vineyard. After which 5 of us enjoyed the afternoon at Flatford Mill, we had a stimulating walk to encourage the loss of a few oz after the hearty breakfast and then took a boat ride along a little stretch of the River Stour, our capable skipper expertly steered 'Maria Constable' around many rowing boats, paddle boarders and swimners. Lots of people about enjoying a very pleasant and warm August Bank Holiday.
We had a final walk along the RSPB's Butterfly Trail - but sadly didn't see any.
I wonder what new delights the family are cooking up for us tomorrow?
Meanwhile we've had a light supper and are now watching the Royal Edinburgh Tattoo
