Up far earlier than I needed to be - oh ye of little sleep! But no worries, not really, out in the park with coffee and book before heading down the pool mid-morning for some lengths.

And then off to The Cameo for a lunchtime 100 years anniversary screening of Battleship Potemkin with a score by Tennant and Lowe ie The Pet Shop Boys. It worked great, quite exciting actually in places. Loved it.

Met up with the family for an excellent lunch out at nearby Hendersons and then it was all we could do to head into town on the bus to sit in Princes Street Gardens and have a coffee outside The National Gallery whilst our girls headed back to Glasgow.

A major attraction today, however, was our final show of this year's various Edinburgh festivals having managed to get tickets for the extra show, the very final show of the run for one of the buzziest and multi award-winning shows of the last three weeks - namely Eat The Rich (But Maybe Not Me Mates X) by Jade Franks. A teatime show at Pleasance Dome which didn't disappoint. And her parents were there on the front row, she was in tears at the end as she thanked everyone and reflected on the most insane month of her life, the crowd on their feet, all a bit emotional. Blimey, I can't imagine the comedown for her tomorrow. Phew.
