German visitors

Many years ago, Nick studied German and worked in a school run by the grandparents of the two younger people you see in my photo.

Carlotta, 17, and Bennett, 15, made the trip to the UK on their own. It has been a great adventure. They flew to Edinburgh but will return by ferry to Amsterdam. (This will enable them to take 20 bottles of salad cream with them.....for tacos.)

Their English is excellent and we had a good time chatting this afternoon.

They have been bowling, visited the Roman Army museum and tried archery there, had a beach picnic today and tomorrow they will be paddle boarding on Kielder Lake. Phew!

I stayed in bed late this morning. Then I edited more photos from the Falstone Show.
