Surveying the world

We don't see many birds in the garden at the moment as we have given the feeding a bit of a rest (mainly to keep pigeons away whilst we are sitting outside with other people at the moment!). The trees are full of berries and there are lots of insects about so I don't think they are doing without!

I was sitting outside in what was a balmy afternoon (Gordon was of course at the football). Perfect weather - warm sunshine and a slight breeze and very, very quiet. Then a young Song Thrush appeared and stood for a while - just looking. It was in the shadows so not a very clear picture, but one I thought was worth sharing. We have been so pleased to find Thrushes nesting here this year.
