WILMINGTON MAN

I have to been to Alfriston in the past but never down the country lanes and not to Wilmington. I saw an article a few weeks ago about the very old tree in the Church yard - it looked very interesting. At an estimated 1,600 years old, it is a yew in the churchyard. Amazing, it was so spread out and held up with props that it was difficult to photograph, so I have included a photo of the Wilmington Man on the hill !
