Newly opened cosmos

I walked round the garden just now wondering if I would find a bee to photograph but not a buzz! Luckily this newly opened cosmos was just waiting for me. I underexposed the shot to darken the background and then lowered the exposure of the background in Lightroom to make sure none of the messy shrubbery was showing. I do like a bit of negative space. 
Scorchio today but then the temperatures are back down to more like the seasonal expectations so I've been enjoying it.
