So that was the WestJet flight cancelled. Great start. There may be a replacement, tomorrow. Was I defeated? No way. Alternative Air Canada flight booked via Montreal only adding a few hours and we were off. Instead of arriving midday it was 7:20pm. It gets dark, unfamiliar hire car, carriageway roadworks for miles. We eventually park up at 9:50pm.
Only one thing for it - a beer. And here’s a nice bar round the corner where we meet a young couple from Cape Breton. And guess what? They were on their way to Edinburgh yesterday on the West Jet flight which had to turn back two hours across the Atlantic. That was our incoming. What were the chances, eh?
