Balloons

Chill day today, after sorting out the last of the holiday bits (hopefully), replacing the batteries in the thermostat and then doing a mini bit of batch cooking, we cycled over to Strathaven in the late afternoon to catch the evening hot air balloon flight.  Good to see the festival so busy after cancellation last year, the queue for ice cream from the jolly jersey farm was immense, the bands were all sounding good and the balloons got off to a sooner-than-expected start.  

We cycled away to try and get a view of the balloons in transit, and went to the hill I camped out on last time. Unfortuntley the wind wasn't blowing in our direction this time, but we did get to see around 15 balloons take off then disappear over the horizon.  Cycling home there were still a few which looked like they were headed out over Glasgow, so who know where they ended up!
