Sheepfest

An amazingly busy day in Sedbergh. Sheepfest is a celebration of all things sheep. Local businesses, interest groups and anyone who wanted to do a celebrity sheep (this year’s theme) exhibited their efforts. My blip is Of Meryl Sheep who was outside the Information Centre. My WI did H-ewe- Fearnley Whittingstall with a food related theme. We had Ed Shea-Ram, JS Baaach, Baaabara Cartland and maybe slightly off topic, but causing lots of amusement was a well known Convicted ‘Fel’on - well there are lots of sheep on the fells - see if you can spot him! These celebrities were to be found throughout the town.
As well as Sheepfest, we had an Artisan Market, live animals (sheep, alpacas, chicks, and a wide display of wool, and things you can make from wool in the People’s hall. There was also the Town Band performing, and, of course, the art show.
And the weather stayed fine.
