Do chooks see colour?

The grandies painted the very colourful chicken run last year; now it’s clashing beautifully with the daffodils. It’s hard to know whether the chooks appreciate the colourful exterior design. The rooster crows a lot so maybe he’s complaining… he’s certainly very vocal about something…
