Spoiler Alert---It's All About Jesus!

We gathered at FBC this morning, grateful for the bit of rain we got this week( still asking for more of the gentle showers) and glad to be in a country where we have the freedom to worship as we choose.  We began our service with a congregational hymn and time of greeting each other.  Pastor Wes gave the welcome then directed our attention to the baptistry where we were blessed to witness the baptisms of two young men.  The choir, orchestra and all our talented accompanists followed that up with a confident rendition of the song, "Never Once" and then the congregation lifted their voices in a few more songs of praise and worship.  Pastor Wes took us back into Acts 3, where we read about the healing of the lame man as Peter and John were going about their normal business until God gave Peter the privilege of having a part in His plan to change the man's life.  Both, the man who was healed and Peter recognized that the healing had come from God and said so to all who could hear them.  Last week, we read the first part of Peter's testimony, but we read even more of it today.  Peter didn't take the credit for himself and John, but used the opportunity to point out that it is all about Jesus and what He had already done to offer salvation to sinners and what would be the consequences of rejecting His offer.  Pastor Wes had much more to say about all this and you can find it in the Live-stream which would be a good investment of your time.....
