An ordinary life....

There is something in the wood shed...

There ain't nothing in the woodshed, except maybe some wood :-))

Agnes and Adrian stayed over.  We had a relaxed morning.  D took Lola a walk at Gleneagles moor and once the rest of us were downstairs we enjoyed pancakes with bacon and maple syrup for brunch.

D and A went to play the wee nine hole course at Gleneagles and Agnes, Lola and I got settled in the garden room.  Adrian is rejoining the golf gang on their annual golf trip to Spain at the end of September and Agnes has the week off so she will come here for some, maybe all of the week they are away.  I usually organise lunch or dinner for all the golf widows at some point during the time the golfers are away so hoping to see Ele, Gail, Natalie and Mairi at some point during that week.  Ele will probably stay over for a couple of nights too.  It will depend on how much she's needed for Esme and Orla childcare that week.

Agnes and Adrian have a new car and Agnes was keen to see if the boot was big enough for my wheels, which would mean we could get out and about that week.  Also now we have the ramp to get the wheelchair into and out of the boot, she won't strain her back trying to to lift it in and out (I wouldn't let her anyway)

They guys returned happy from golf and after coffee we headed out and to their car and I am delighted to report Agnes can easily get the chair in and out of their boot and it fits without having to put the back seats down.  Yay!  :-)

Agnes and Adrian headed home and I headed to the garden to check the pots, in particular my little selection of herbs.  I am so happy with how well they are doing.  They have all grown so much since I planted them that I can actually start harvesting them.

I keep meaning to photograph this random woodpile (left over wood from a tree we had to chop down a few years ago) with the Canon camera but it's packed for the outer Hebrides so my phone had to do.

Dinner of harissa chicken, salad and coleslaw then more planning of places to go and things to do and see on our upcoming holiday.  I can't wait to return to my favourite places :-))
