Into the blue

More JB events today. There was a screening of a film of a play of the movie of the book of The 39 Steps. Despite poor sound quality the play was excellent, played for laughs with just four actors and very clever staging.  It was based on the 1935 Hutchcock film which, unlike the book, involves women and Mr Memory is key, who you probably remember.  

Pictured is his granddaughter who wrote a biography of him who gave a talk.  Despite not being a particularly Buchan fan, I enjoyed the events, but I won't rush to read his books.
