Butterfly bush
The Buddleia was certainly living up to its name today as we walked through the walled garden at Mountstewart. A lot of small Buddleia shrubs were planted along the edges of the radiating paths and they’ve all done so well!
As we walked through the area there were so many butterflies flitting about, mostly red admirals and tortoiseshells, like this one. We were mesmerised!
Now that we’re home again I’m feeling very pleased with myself as our evening meal is bubbling away in the slow cooker. I rediscovered my Bored of Lunch cookbook, which is specifically for slow cooker recipes. I usually associate these meals with Autumn/Winter, but I’m very happy to eat a chicken, sweet potato and peanut butter curry tonight!
