Waiting for the tide

When one of you hails from a coastal town and t'other within 5 miles of the sea, you tend to get withdrawal symptoms from time to time.

Therefore it didn't come as any surprise when "Our Lass" expressed a desire to inhale the brine.

Since "The barn by the sea" (Silloth) was a touch old hat, she opted for Morecambe. Great weather, grand day out. I can highly recommend the South-side services at Tebay on the M6. We live too near to really use them, so dropped in for a brew just to case the joint. Ended up with, among other things, (BRACE yourself) a pair of Peugeot Salt/Pepper mills and a heavy mortgage.

The tide was out but we were really more interested in the air and didn't look for this bloke at all, in spite of a teeny bit of hero-worship on my part and a couple of hours documentary on him and his mate last night.
