happy as
After a large part of the day was spent sitting around the house waiting for everyone (including me, though I was up first) to get ready we eventually popped out to a place recommended by a few people with only vague recollections of where it was which apparently sold ice-cream, permitted viewing of the cows used to create some of the ice-cream's ingredients, had a building made out of wood, a field and a small playpark in the field (though we weren't allowed to speak of this openly in front of the childs in case they went mental. We were also not allowed to mention the words "farm" and "park" consecutively in case the children were reminded of the existence of the farm park which apparently always has to be driven extravagantly around when driving to Culzean to prevent them nagging ceaselessly until they either forget about it or are allowed to visit) which was deemed suitably entertaining to be worth popping to. Despite it being announced when we arrived last night that "perhaps uncle Andy can take some pictures of you?" which immediately resulted in most of the children performing the bottom-teeth-revealing grimace which someone once persuaded them to believe to be a smile I'd already managed a few reasonably natural-looking pictures of a few of them in the morning and (despite being constantly harangued to "come and take a picture of the pig it's standing up now go and take a picture of the cow take a picture of the big cow over there in the field take a picture of me attempting to jump off the swing" I managed sufficient more to keep me occupied with processing for a fair bit of the evening in an attempt to get a discful burnt by the time of our departure so that the in-laws only nag me for the still-unfinished wedding pictures rather than wedding-pictures and children-pictures. Some were simply in-focus, a few were serviceable but uninteresting, a few reasonably interesting, a couple interesting after some clone tool salvage, a couple were OK but for the grimaces and a surprising few would be of sufficient likeability to post here if I were permitted. Instead, here is one of the pigs, lying down, taken whilst being advised to go and take a picture of the calf in case it stuck its head in the bucket again.
