I've recently had the pleasure of meeting John Hattersley owner of Hattersley wines, lover of France and other good things.
When we first moved to Bakewell there was a wonderful wine bar and restaurant (in what is now the Rutland antiques centre) called H's brilliantly run by John.
It had a fabulous atmosphere and has sadly for Bakewell never been replaced.
