Tawas Point Lighthouse
If you get to this lighthouse near dusk...the shadows are heavy and long. You walk through the shadows of the tower until the end, and then you turn around...and center the setting sun in the glass. Purty...real purty.
We got here at 6:10 p.m. The climbing of the light stopped at 6. Plus...the price was right. 2 dollars. Maybe next time.
We drove along the coast of Lake Huron, on our way to Oscoda, Michigan, for a couple nights with Lisa's sister and her family. Camping in their trailer tucked in next to the AuSable River. A purty spot...real purty.
Trout at Cracker Barrel for lunch, nacho's deluxe at a local restaurant for supper, and a rip-snortin campfire to finish off the day. Nice...northern woods nice.
