Fall decorations

There is still a full week of August left but I still went ahead and put my fall decorations out at the front of the house today.

Kent was up at daybreak to hand wash his truck and then my vehicle. While he was washing my vehicle, I sat at the garage door and went through all my house and garden flags, checking which ones were ragged and needed replacing (2 did). I then changed out my flags outside.

Next, I changed out the flowers in the milk canister by the front door.

I took down my front door decoration and hung up my “fall angel”. That reminded me to changed the front doormat insert. When I took the summer one out, I took it out back and gave it a good scrubbing before it gets put away.

Last but not least I changed the cover on the mailbox. That’s enough fall decoration for now!

I did BBQ spareribs in the crockpot today and that will do us again tomorrow. Yay. I love it when comfort food is also easy to make.
