Wilder (or is that neglected?) garden
This red currant bush is on the edge of the garden and has been rather neglected these past few years. The berries are in a sea of grass with a side-helping of nettles.
However, the bush still gives some beautiful looking berries. I'm the only person who actually likes these sharp tasting berries. I freeze the berries and then eat them on my breakfast. They also look rather lovely (from the freezer) in a G&T, especially a small bunch on a stalk.
There's never enough time for everything but perhaps this is the year I really work on getting the bush well pruned and back in some sort of order!
In the evening we visited Lis and Paco in Bollstabruk, with Rose doing the driving. Lis' brother John, from Christchurch, was visiting her. We last met 3 years ago, because popping over from NZ is not so easy!
