Down south and South Down
Being our last day and heading home mid afternoon, we packed up a bit, went to the dump with a load of stuff from old cupboards (as instructed by Elbows’ big sisters) and walked along the South Down Way. Our son, DougsJB, messaged about running along it, but abbreviated it. We had no idea what the SDW was :-)) Now we do. And it’s wonderfully glorious.
We did have a bit of trouble getting back to our car with the dogs, not wanting to walk along the narrow roads but wanting to cut corners. Learnt we couldn’t cut corners. Got told off by some men flying their remote control aeroplanes.
Late lunch. Drove home home. M25 an absolute jam for some of the journey. Google maps couldn’t decide and changed its suggested route every 30 seconds or so.
But back in time to clear up, clean up, get 2 wash loads done from MightyMouse (back from Contagious Camp) and NoaNoa (after a week of uni-style house-party at home).
3 of us are off on Monday for church camp so prompt turn around needed.
Sometimes, a day seems really really long.
