Scabious and Hoverfly

Despite promisingly dark clouds and a rain dance, the rain refuses to fall. Out with the hose again then, for the newest plants in the garden that won't survive otherwise. Fortunately, the plant in the photo is resilient and withstands heat and drought cheerfully.
