John Buchan Walk
This weekend is the 150th anniversary of the birth of John Buchan so a number of events have been organised to celebrate the date. Mark and I took part in a walk along the John Buchan Way this morning. There were several stops to listen to short pieces of text from his books relevant to each location. The walk finished at the Museum where there was cake. As you can see from the pictures above, the heather was in bloom and there was a lovely perfume coming from it. One of our fellow walkers said the smell reminded her of honey (heather honey presumably)
