Caught in a Web

Google Lens has identified this as a Yellow Underwing Moth. I can't be sure. Look carefully and you can see that it has been caught up in a spider web and a tiny spider is visible above its victim. Part of the backend of the moth has gone. Was it eaten?

It was on the front windowsill and I caught sight of it just as we were leaving for Coalville for me to go to have my new teeth implants fitted and checked. It was an uncomfortable experience.

It's a right paraphernalia to get to Coalville now. The direct route has been closed to enable work to proceed on installing new water mains pipes to a housing development ON THE CHARNWOOD FOREST. I thought the ground was to be sacrosanct and preserved.

Within Coalville itself, Broomleys road crossing to the London Road has also closed necessitating a mile and a half detour. At least that route took us back past Morrisons which I visited on our return trip. I was SO grateful to Benji who put my shopping bag on his work trolley and scanned the shopping. Shout-out to Benji.

We stopped at Bawdon Lodge Farm for refreshment. They stopped serving hot food at 2 pm. Couldn't even get soup even though the tureen was standing and steaming in the corner.

I didn't want to watch the Women's Rugby Cup match vs USA so I went to my computer to watch Barbie, finally. Was disappointed. Thought it was very light although I'm sure the director thought she was making a point. Most impressive female actor was Kate Mackinnon as Weird Barbie. Was interested to see British actors such as Kingsley Ben-Adir (was in Vera), Ncuti Gatwa (late of Doctor Who) and Connor Swindells (SAS Rogue Heroes) frolicking about in the cast. How Hollywood loves British actors, presumably for their versatility.
