Icelandic Poppies

The day started off chilly and then became hot and humid by the afternoon.  Went blackberrying.  At the bottom of the farmyard where some topsoil had been dumped from a building site a vivid splash of colour greeted me in the rather drought stricken ground.  Icelandic poppies popping up from the seeds of someone's old garden in town that had been cleared for some building project.  I have found several different flowers over the year in the heap and they are all very welcome!
