Angel
The long weekend has begun! We arrived in London too early to check into the hotel, so we had a nice little stroll to Camden, popping into some pubs on the way. We found one that I was quite enamoured with, Phoenix, which had lots of comics memorabilia about the place. Once checked in, we headed to Angel as we'd decided to go see Weapons tonight. After loading up on some delicious fish tacos, we hit the cinema. Honestly, I have no idea whether I liked the film or not because we had such a crap cinema experience. Firstly, the air con wasn't on in our screen, so after about 30 mins all I could think about was how hot I was, how dry my mouth was, and why was this film still going..?! Secondly, the woman next to me was constantly moving around which was setting off her Smartwatch, so it kept glaring in my face. Thirdly, in the row behind were at least 2 chatty tw*ts; one was just saying things as they appeared on screen, the other doing a running commentary and making jokes his mates seemed to think were hilarious (they were not). Also, I'm not sure if there was something wrong with the screen because there were some scenes that were so dark it was actually impossible to see a single thing for quite long periods, and I can't imagine that was the directors intent...
