Coming in to land

We've had hover flies swarming the garden today. I like them, the way they come up and look at you, hovering inches from your face. They always seem to face you when hovering nearby, as if taking a good look into your eyes to search your soul.

Or maybe they are just saying hello?

Just caught this guy as he was about to land and feed from the anenomes.
