Old Industry & Beacon Hill Skiing

We took a walk on the edge of town today. The walk starts along the mainland edge of the South Sound. Nowadays it's very scenic and green but at the turn of the 19th/20th century there was a large sawmill here. All that remains are these foundations, looking like a piece of sculpture.
Across the sound is Beacon Hill and the town's ski slope. As the climate changes and the winters become shorter and warmer maybe the ski slope will go the way of the sawmill!
