Galling (again)

I have blipped about wasp galls before but today my Blip is about Alder Leaf Galls. I noticed them as we walked alongside the brook near our son's house. (Actually he moved out today, and it is officially owned by someone else.)

These leaf galls are caused by a microscopic mites, somewhat different to the wasp galls on Oak trees for instance.
