King of the Swingers

A family day out at Chester Zoo, 11 years since we did this trip and kids are all older now but seemed to enjoy it every bit as much as previously.

Zoos and visiting them isn't without problems for me, but Chester seems to do more good than most and I'm clear that done well they have an impact in the areas of conservation and education. These orang-utans are at considerable threat in the wild, still hunted and decimated by deforestation. They also starred in one of the greatest films ever - Jungle Book.

Had a good day out with the camera too and choosing one for todays blip was more difficult than most days.
