Last man standing

The hollyhocks were shorter than most years probably due to the drought but before they set all their seed I decided I should cut them all down (carefully tipping the seed into the green bin without spilling too many) and tidy up.  This last one has remained for now as it is on a side shoot and I removed the bulk of the main stem.  It is weird not having my natural net curtains!!  The window cleaner appeared so the dirt is now only on the inside!  Work to be done later! 
It is a better hip day so must make sure not to overdo it although it is hard not to be busy when there is no discomfort (to mention). 
Clearing, washing and sorting today ready to pack up for a little holiday starting this weekend. Cannot wait! Praying the weather is going to stay warm a little longer.. I am not ready for autumn yet although a lot of leaves have started to drop.. stress I suppose after the drought this year.
