Cameron’s Adventure

We had the usual Nero then home and S took more of the back garden of the gang’s house to the dump. We chopped up more and put in the big bags.

When we got home there was scaffolding going up round the back but not the full length so a big mistake! We are getting solar panels courtesy of the Scottish Government scheme for those that fit a certain criteria. Ours is me being over 65! It will cost us £450 plus the cost of netting so the horrible pigeons don’t nest under them. Our two doors along neighbour got hers done and all working fine.

Oh, and I’ve been 15 years Blipper today!

The photo is from the summit of Ben Nevis! Not climbed by me but by Cameron who was there with his two friends. It turned into an adventure.

Cameron arrived in Perth at 9am, his friends picked him up and they set off. There was a hold up on the road so didn’t get to Ben Nevis till 1pm. Up they went took 5 hours. His friend Euan struggled a bit and they thought at one stage that he was going to go back down , it was a hot day , 25 degrees! He rested a bit and carried on. He said afterwards he was surprised Cameron was so fit at climbing!!!! Surprised I said to Cameron, but you’ve done your Duke of Edinburgh gold , been in the scouts/explorers and climbing is your hobby haha.

Anyway they reached the summit and the view was unreal, not many people get this view from the top of the highest mountain in the U.K. as it’s usually shrouded in cloud at the top.

We got a message from Cameron asked if he could stay the night as he was going to miss the last train back to Edinburgh at 11:10. They stopped on the road at one stage behind two cars and it was a police convoy that went every two hours (roadworks) so they just made the 12 midnight convoy otherwise god k owes when he’d get home. We left the door unlocked for him and he was here at 1:30.
