Festival: Nirbhaya

I provide a link on facebook and recommended people to see this play, but only today did I get a chance to go and see Nirbhaya. One of the most powerful pieces of theatre in the Fringe Festival this year receiving 5 star reviews across the board. a piece of theatre you cannot ignore, based on the atrocities that women face in India (and across the world) by men (and women) and assisted by the victims remaining silent. Instigated by the rape of a 23 year old on a Delhi bus at the end of last year, women decided not to remain silent any more - those on stage told their own true and harrowing tales. Moved to tears and concluded by a standing ovation - Nirbhaya could not fail to touch the hearts of everyone in the audience. No picture of the play itself - I was too respectful and riveted to take my camera out - but this image is the box office, flanked by posters advertising the play.
