Blackfriers

We popped up to London for lunch in the Blackfriars pub. A lovely historic building. We timed our visit well to get one of the limited number of tables.
The plan was to go for a walk through Covent Garden to Charing Cross. We were distracted by finding the Inner Temple Gardens and the Middle Temple Cafe. Both are wonderful peaceful spots in a very busy area. Time passed in the delightful surroundings and we decided to retrace our steps to the station.
At home I was due a phone call from my GP pharmacist at 7:30pm (!), but somehow I missed the call and there was no way to call back. How irritating.
