Hols Day 3

Our overnight parkup was on the banks of the Rhine just outside of a small village called Rossum. We were parked up next to an ancient fort, rather derelict and overgrown but still visible. The monument marks the spot where four British soldiers lost their lives in 1944. They were only young men but were part of the reconnaissance regiment and probably operating behind enemy lines. Brave men.
