Autumn colours

The only picture I have taken today on Bailey’s first walk before I headed into work. These leaves are from the tree on the corner of our road and have fallen really early. It’s been an eventful day one way or another but nothing captured for my blip after this 6:45ish shot.

GCSE results day with lots of happy students and staff and a general upturn in results. One tricky conversation with a student who is not best served by terminal exams. The 8 to 11 slot went fairly quickly and I also caught up with friends and colleagues and worked on my presentation for the first day back. I left just after half three but then got caught up in a situation when someone was knocked off their bike two cars in front of me. It was very low impact but an elderly man and a hip injury, I think. The driver stopped (unlike the car that was behind her and in front of me) but didn’t have her phone so I called the ambulance. Police and various paramedics turned up fairly quickly but it was about an hour before I could head off.

The delay meant I took Bailey’s hired pram back first before my planned supermarket trip. I was a bit worried that Bailey had been home alone (apart from a visit from his dog walker) for a long time but he was clearly still asleep upstairs when I got in. He came to find me, eventually.
