Ainscough’s Mill

Ainscough's Mill in Burscough is a historic, Grade II listed, former steam-powered corn mill developed by Hugh Ainscough in 1855, which has since been converted into modern apartments, retaining its impressive industrial architecture and large chimney. Located on Mill Lane by the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, the mill was strategically built with canal and rail links for transporting wheat, making it a significant example of a 19th-century milling complex.
