I spent the morning cooking for the week while Mr Lif dusted and mopped. Any of you single ladies out there who are looking for a man, my top tip to you is get one who isn't shy of a bit of cleaning. A god send.

A spot of gardening followed and miraculously the sun came out and the temperature soared to a heady 25 degrees. Time to cut the grass. I hauled the lawnmower out of the shed and got a bit of a shock for that read screamed like a girl when a huge big toad fell out the bottom! I wasn't expecting that! Poor thing looked a bit shell shocked as the dogs sniffed him. He hid under the ivy and recovered then scurried away back towards the shed!

As it was so hot we passed on the planned yomp up the hill we opted for a spot of lazing in the sun.

After tea it cooled down a bit and we headed up to the pub on the hill with the dogs. The nights must be drawing in now as the sun was definitely on its way down at around 8 pm tonight.

Still good to have some unexpected warmth to enjoy
