Furry roses!

Taken on my walk in the Pentlands today. Clearly a rose, but not sure what's happened to it - one of my companions thought that some kind of parasite was the cause. Let me know if you know!

PS Thanks to Croft 16 I can now tell you that it's caused by a gall wasp.
