Els
Dearest El,
I'm writing this because I know tomorrow is a big day for you, and I wanted you to read this before you get your GCSE results. I want to say this as clearly as I possibly can: I am so incredibly proud of you, no matter what those results say.
I'm not proud of you for the grades you might get. I'm proud of you for the person you are. I've watched you grow into such a kind, caring, and loving person, and that is so much more important than any grade on a piece of paper. The way you support your friends, the way you make me laugh, your amazing sense of humour, and your beautiful spirit are what truly define you.
These results are just a snapshot of one moment in your life. They do not, and will not ever, define your worth. The hard work and dedication you've shown over the past few years are a testament to your character, and that's what truly matters.
I am so excited to see the amazing things you will do in this world. Just know that I am and will always be in your corner, cheering you on. I love you more than words can say.
