Roses

Roses are not my favourite flowers.  They seem to me to be very high maintenance plants needing pruning and deadheading and subject to attack by sawfly caterpillars or greenfly.  They also attack you with their thorns as you try to care for them.  I do concede though that they come in some very pretty colours.
