Sea Ivory
In the absence of auks (well there are still a few tysties around, but not reachable with the camera I was carrying), orchids (wrong season), waves (strangely, still absent from the south Shetland coastline).
Today's blip is one of the spectacular lichens that cover the old walls and, in this case, an old fence post on the path from the Jarlshof up to the lighthouse at Sumburgh Head (see the extra).
This lichen is Sea Ivory.
