Bowl of pears . They were a gift from a kind neighbour, he'll be showering us with some of his prize winning marrows next. The neighbour is disabled and it's really good to see him getting so much pleasure out of his garden, which he tends with care and is full of flowers and veg.

I've had a busy day preparing 'Matilda' for our week in Essex to see some of Mr HB's family and starting on Friday. Lots of other tedious jobs got done too on this cool and cloudy day.
