The Sellers! Bracebridge Pool.
Sutton Park.
So good to see Andrew and Helen today, who had driven down to see us from North Yorkshire.
We had a long lunchtime catchup round the dining table, before going for a short walk in Sutton Park.
(Stephen and I had already had an early morning circular and a coffee at the usual Farmhouse Bistro.).
It felt good to be able to do another one and really felt like I am making more progress to being able to walk further, without overdoing it!
This evening we have a friend coming to dinner.
Helen and Andrew have decamped to their hotel as Helen needs to rest. She has to watch how much she does each day or she gets extremely fatigued.
We felt very honoured that she wanted to make the journey.
She hasn’t been in our home since our Matt died and they and their two daughters came to his Thanksgiving, in September 2006.
We have visited Grassington fairly frequently combining the trip with going to see my sister in Knaresborough.
The extended family is quite closeknit even though we live miles apart. Our two nieces and their children in Skipton and Ilkley respectively, also keep in touch.
We’ve had a lovely lunch and sunny afternoon together.
They are calling in to see our son and family in the morning before setting off home once more.
Another friend of ours is coming to tea after work so I’ll stop here.
