It's A Wonderful Life

A long hot sticky day in Istanbul. The humidity here is debilitating. Today began with a group excursion of fellow campus dwelling teachers to Ikea and other shopping opportunities where my purchases even included some family Christmas gifts and some new sandals as well as sundry items for home. Afternoon comprised shower, nap, then off to the Potluck Dinner on Konak Terrace to sigh over the view of the Bosphorus and say hello to those I haven't seen since last June in the convivial atmosphere of vittles, warmth and collegial friendship.
