Plummy
A morning volunteering at Tuppenny Barn. We were planting out more winter veg, then enjoyed looking around the fruit orchard. It’s a bumper year and the plums in particular were looking so attractive. They have six or so different varieties, each with their own distinctive colouring from deep blues to those with more red and yellow colouring. These ones pictured are Victoria plums.
After lunch Andy, his uncle, Bill, and I walked at Emsworth. We are enjoying our time together. There’s lots of conversation. This afternoon Bill, who at 86 years still plays the drums in a jazz big band, spent some time explaining how he grew up surrounded by big band music and was introduced to playing the drums.
I’m now enjoying a little break doing my blip. I’m sorry I’m not having much time to comment at the moment. I’m looking forward to catching up with your journals soon.
