Everything we wore yesterday was absolutely caked in mud . There were piles of trainers left at the end of the race to be hopefully cleaned off and given to charity.

As I only got mine last week I certainly wasn't giving them away - had it not been for their awesome gripping soles I would have been slipping all over the place and probably not made it up the Everest wall first time .

Hosed down, stuffed with paper and dried on the line - almost new .

Bring on the next race in a fortnight !!!
