Rest your backside

The Grauniad newspaper supplied deck chairs for the book festival this year, after a competition to suggest appropriate literary quotations.

I'm not sure why this was one of the winners - what's the point of writing the truth if nobody reads it? And if nobody reads it, there will be no books, and hence no book festival.

And it's a bit weird coming from the newspaper that's currently in the news itself for disclosing whistle-blower Edward Snowden’s revelations of government spying.

But I shall lose no sleep fretting - the festival is more or less over, and the good folk of Edinburgh can go back to Keeping up with the Kardashians, The Great British Bake off, and (best of all) 90210.
