A Tiny Symbol Of My Family's History.....

I was not born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could at the age of three!  My mom and dad were both born in Oklahoma, so I had many extended family members to visit in Oklahoma over the years.  I also went to college at Oklahoma Baptist University.  So, I do not remember exactly when I acquired this tiny Rose Rock, which is the state rock of Oklahoma, but I do know that I have had it for several decades and over that time it has lost much of the rose-like shape for which it was named.  The rock itself is a form of barite which is made up of crystallized barium sulfate.  And, today, it gets its 15 minutes of fame on Blip as my Tiny Tuesday entry for the challenge of "Rocks Or Stones".  Thanks to the hosts for this month's  TT challenges.....
