Lyme Regis Town Band
I went down to Lyme this evening along with a couple of friends from choir. Lyme Regis Town Band play on the esplanade every Tuesday evening throughout the summer. They're a fantastic band and if ever you find yourself in the area on a Tuesday evening I would recommend it. They are all amateurs and the concerts are free although they love donations which go towards the huge costs of running a band as large as this one.
The band leader/ conductor is the son of some friends in our village and he's so good at getting the whole audience involved. At one point he must have had about 100 people doing the conga along the esplanade (see extra).
The main photo was taken towards the end of the concert and you can just make out Golden Cap in the distance across the bay. Note the lamps which are shaped like ammonites as this is the Jurassic Coast.
